Anger and Disaster

Residing in one of the most crowded localities in Delhi the one thing I witness daily are the incidence of road rage. People honk nonstop, full of stress, in to unnecessary hurry. Traffic rules are kept at bay and what all follow is shouting and screaming, speeding their way to work. And if your life is saved surviving this mad rush then just remember the idiom- ‘Jako rakhe saiyan, maar sake na koi’.

Almost a week back a young boy into early teens was badly injured riding a speedy motor cycle suffered multiple fractures. Are his parents responsible of letting him ride bike at this young age and that too without helmet?  Who is at fault for this incidence? We all know the answers, we all know the repercussions of negligence, but still we allow it to happen.  Why?

Referring to the recent incidence of road rage in Delhi where a man was beaten to death in front of his children at Central Delhi’s Turkman Gate on some argument over plain collision. And now we can hear the disappointed brother of victim pleading the nation through radio that no matter who is at fault, it’s better to say sorry with folded hands during any such incident of road rage.

Anger is eating up our sanity. We are left with no amount of patience. We have moved from ‘bad’ to ‘worse’ and marching ahead towards ‘worst’. We need to put a stop to this lunacy. We need stability in our lives. And that we can achieve by observing time management, compassion and empathy.

We are busy making our life better, working hard day and night to ‘purchase’ happiness. Family moments are left at the mercy of festivals or sometimes family functions. With more rising culture of nuclear families our children rarely recognize members of extended family. We are losing the touch of nearness and dearness.

Take a lesson from the recent calamity of Earthquake that had hit Nepal.  This one such moment of truth that left us helpless. So many died and so died with them their tales of hope and faith, so many stories died untold, remained unsung is their song of happiness, their melodies of life rest in peace now. It took just a moment to devastate everything.

Why for our entire life we keep on waiting for that one perfect moment to share our thoughts, in fact every moment we get is a gift of God and definitely a perfect moment. Grab it before it’s too late.

Life and Style

Being not much a fashion conscious person, I am the one who would pick up just anything when it comes to getting ready for the office or going out with friends. Wearing same clothing and the same wardrobe gets monotonous with time.  Life seems dull and boring following same routine and same lifestyle.

We need to constantly reinvent ourselves, develop our style and attitude and for that our wardrobe plays a very important role. What we wear reflects a lot about ourselves.  Good wardrobe doesn’t mean high value branded clothing, but actually what defines us, what makes us feel comfortable and of course fits in to our budget.

Planning to redefine my wardrobe this summer I wish to incorporate clothing of various colors’ and a mix of western as well as Indian outfits. My all-time favorite comfort wear is ‘Kurtas’ in different colors with matching Leggings. Surfing net the other day I ordered for the ‘Leggings’ available online, in different colors as well as in fluorescent shades to go with my ‘Kurtas’.

Believe me having changed my wardrobe, filling it with colorful outfits make me feel reinvented, I feel a new zest for life, a feeling of freshness and happiness. The mundane tasks of day do not appear boring now; I am enjoying compliments and pleasant glances coming my way.

As it is always said that it’s not the destination but the journey that makes memories and this journey is life. Make this life worthwhile, enjoy it, develop and re-develop yourself. Adding vibrancy and colors in our life will eventually reflect same on people around us. A dull and gloomy person will only attract loneliness for self.

Life is a precious gift of God, never think of it as a burden, good and bad times go hand in hand, it’s wrong to perceive that grass is always green on the other side of fence, everyone has to bear their share of hardship, gather strength during tough times and share joy during happy times is what I strongly believe in.
